 Heidi wrote her first manuscript, (Emma’s Horse), at the age of nine. By the time she had turned ten, Heidi had written three more manuscipts. All four books were mysteries involving horses. Heidi was competing in horse show jumping and dressage throughout her junior and senior high school years. She also wrote and published poetry throughout middle and high school. She played varsity girls golf throughout high school and was involved in a local Aviation Explorer Post and learned to fly.

 

Heidi holds both a bachelor and master’s degree in Psychology, is a registered nurse, and is working on her PhD in Psychology with a concentration in parapsychology. She writes urban fantasy and paranormal romance. In her spare time, Heidi loves to travel, golf, and paranormal investigations/ghost hunting. She also enjoys Arthurian legend, celtic mythology, flying, horses and show jumping, dressage, three day eventing, architecture (she took 4 years of architectural design in high school),music, shooting, Renaissance faires and celtic festivals, and fencing. Heidi also loves to spend time with her cocker spaniel. Heidi loves wandering through graveyards and touring hunated castles and homes.

Heidi currently belongs to  The American Psychological Association (APA), Romance Writers of America (RWA), Futuristic, Fantasy, & Paranormal RWA, and Indiana Romance Writers, a local chapter of RWA and Celtic Hearts RWA. She is also the 2010 Vice President of Futuristic, Fantasy, and Paranoraml Romance Writers of America and is a frequent judge is writing contests.
